A good coffee shop improves house prices and area demand

We originally posted this article below (click link) what seems like 3 years ago (actually much longer…#covid) about how a coffee shop/s can boost house values, and it has factual information as to the reasons why.  “Proximity to a local coffee shop has a very real, and positive, effect on home values, new data shows.”

Now, a good coffee shop in the area is of course one of just many reasons that property values and area demand increase, what we do know for sure from observation is that the “sense of community” certainly improves as a result of a coffee community space. Great security companies like CAP of course and others in the local area definitely help secure homes and create a sense of safety too, adding to area value.

Seeing or even bumping into your neighbour that lives nearby or further up your street that you have never spoken to before at the local coffee shop, saying hi or at least acknowledging each other creates a sense of being and place. Knowing that if you are a little lonely or just wanting to be around other people, the local coffee shop, is just up the road to pop into. When load shedding kicks in, and you don’t have a generator the local coffee shop is open (6am) and serving barista prepared coffees and English breakfast at the ready on your order. Well trained and brand committed staff and individuals wake up early, early, early to make this possible for you to enjoy (6am opening).

Check out the property price trends in your area and see if there is any correlation to the availability of coffee shops, great security companies and recreational things to do in your area compared to other areas.

Dunvegan, Edenvale as an example has a very active running, cycling and walking community and has The Landing Coffee which opens at 6am daily and Cafe Mio too. The people in the community care for their spaces, are friendly, outgoing, sporty and animal lovers too!

It really is a WIN WIN situation, if locals support their local businesses (footfall, social media and word of mouth) which really try and invest to provide services to their community, the local business thrives/survives and so does the community/area and as a result house prices increase.

It works both ways, The Landing coffee as an example supports local businesses too, buying all of it’s building material from Marc and Team at Build It Edenvale …and more recently Bedfordview, plants from Wayne and Team at Eckards , and use all local suppliers for other needs such as plumbing repairs from Geo Plumbing. Local businesses such as SetteBello at the Italian Club, Glendower Golf Course, De Graziella, Spar Dunvegan, Paws to doors, to name just a few, are also well supported.

Bedfordview, a nearby neighbourhood will also soon feature The Landing Bedfordview – Opening soon…>>

For runners and cyclists, you can soon try out The Landing (Dunvegan) to The Landing (Bedfordview) run and cycle route. Ginger and Tumeric shots and of course Espresso will be on the ready as well as fresh pressed orange juice and breakfast on both ends. Read More >>
